Your Scooter Tour of Toronto starts in the Harbourfront of Toronto – Radical Wheelz, inside the Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown. For your ease, and comfort the tour ends at the same location. Evidently starting and ending with stunning skyscrapers that rise above the pristine waters of Lake Ontario. Toonie Tours Toronto is excited and humbled to lead the way and connect you.
Begin Back In Time With Distillery District and Riverdale Farm
Your local guide will make Toronto’s rich history come alive. Presently taking you past iconic and picture-ready sites that will be perfect your social media feed. You start in the heart of Old Town, and in a short period of time you’ll be scootering along the shores of Lake Ontario, taking you to the fantastic Distillery District. Hear tales of Toronto’s renegade roots as a well-known Distillery District that would help the likes of Al Capone run his bootlegging routes.
After a rum-running tale, your tour will travel north to a gorgeous, yet kind of smelly, farm. Riverdale Farm will leave you speechless with animals roaming the stalls right in the heart of Toronto. It takes you back to what all of Toronto used to look like a short time ago, with farmland abound.
Travel to the Capital of Ontario and the World of Kensington
Following a fix of fur your bike ride will continue along Wellesley Street to Queens Park and the Ontario Legislature Building, for a handful of picturesque sites and to hear about how this wonderful city and province came to be. Across the street is the historical campus of the University of Toronto, where you’ll hear how faculty and students alike helped this nation win the war. Next, we scoot over a world of it’s own; Kensington Market. Kensington Market is difficult to explain without capturing for yourself, it’s as if you’ve scooted into a whole new world with crazy shops and eateries everywhere you turn.
Back To The Future with Graffiti, Culture and a Bit of the Past
Since we can’t live in the World of Kensington forever, we scoot on to our final end of the tour, Graffiti Alley, Stakt Market, and Fort York National Historic Site. Beside Fort York is a culturally heightened underpass called The Bentway. This third of the tour will almost overwhelm you with all of the options and possibilities that Toronto has to offer. It will instantly make you want to extend your stay so that you can go back and explore it all over again. We travel from The Bentway to Roundhouse Park where you’ll learn about the importance of the railway just before travelling back to Union Station to return our beautiful scoots.
