Street Art & Craft Beer Walking Tour

Beer-Lovers & Art-Lovers Unite!

ABOUT THE
Street Art & Craft Beer Walking Tour

Beer-Lovers, Art-Lovers Unite!

Connect with new friends and experience top-selected beer and art on the Street Art & Craft Beer Tour. Your local guide has mapped out the best route to it all.

Our tour begins at Olympic Village Square (by the birds). We’ll make introductions and connect with the history of the area to get started.

You’re probably thirsty, so we’ll make our way to the first watering hole to sample a craft beer. On the way, we get our first glimpse of the amazing street art that fills the walls.

Our first stop is The Beaumont Studios, it’s a hidden artist studio with an average of 30 artists creating top-quality art in a unique and powerful space. There, we’ll enjoy one of the first craft brews in Vancouver, Parallel 49’s Craft Lager.

After your first beverage, and maybe meeting a few artists, we’ll head outside for an easy walk through the backroads of Mount Pleasant. We’ll view the spectacular street art murals that sprawl throughout. Each mural has a story, and we’ll do our best to connect you with any relevant information you’re interested in. You’ll leave with a sense of connection to the art, their artists and the area.

After a significant creativity upload, it’s time to sample another brew, and there’s just the spot nearby. Electric Bicycle Brewing is an eclectic spot with seriously good beer. You’ll taste two of their top brews and take in the exciting atmosphere, while resting your feet with a new group of friends.

Henceforth, we depart the brewery with empty bladders and glasses. The next stretch of art contains Banksy-ese pieces, traditional graffiti, and massive murals. This portion has prolific artists like Faith XLVII, iHeart, and Medianeras.

Lastly, we arrive at either Brewhall or Faculty Brewing. Each are great ending locations with a nice variety of unique beer. We’ll sample two of their delicious beers, before the guide will be officially off the clock. This tour often ends with the start of newfound friends. So decide what’s next and enjoy the evening.

Reviews

This is a fantastic walking tour – don’t miss it. The local knowledge and expertise was second to none and the genuine caring and engaging way the whole tour was conducted was wonderful. We met not only a great guide, but someone we might meet up with again through our collective travels! The group we had was awesome – we all came from different parts of the globe, different backgrounds and had a great time.

So what can we say… besides that this was one of the best and most delightful tours we took for our vacation. Jonathan was an absolute gem. He was passionate and full of life and was such a great educator about so much of the street art. He made everything so at ease and we were lucky enough to have them all to ourselves. That was just a great bonus for us. Highly recommended and full of information if you love and appreciate art like we did, you will have the time of your life. He knew every little single area and lane to take us to. He’s a very gentle soul with an eye and a passion for all art related components and a full known of the history behind it all. Thank you Jonathan!!!

The tour was great. I’ve never been on a tour and expected it to be cheesy. This one was not! Very knowledgeable fun. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the city’s secret art.
